How to obtain a subsidy and a permit?
The Town of Waterloo offers a generous subsidy program to it’s citizens who want to create a water garden on their property.
The subsidy covers 50 % of the work cost to create a rain garden and the purchase of the plants for a maximum of $ 750 per address. To obtain it, fill in this form. Then send it to Sébastien Fortin-Demers, the project’s technician (sebastien.fortin-demers@obv-yamaska.qc.ca).
Mr Fortin-Demers will fill in section 4 (cost evaluation of the rain garden). He will then send your form to the City.
The permit will be issued in the following days.
When the work on your rain garden wil be completed, bring all your receipts at the City’s département de l’urbanisme. They will be added to your file and the City will issue you a check.
